| With heavy hearts the Pioneer Fire Company announces the passing of Life Member and former Lieutenant Mike Furlong Sr. at the age of 62.
Mike joined the Pioneer Fire Company in 1977. He was an active and qualified firefighter for many years, rising to the rank of Lieutenant where he served for a time in the 1990’s into the early 2000’s. Many of his closest, life-long friendships were formed within the fire station.
He leaves behind his dear wife, two sons, four grandchildren, six siblings, and numerous extended family members. Mike’s son, Mike Jr., has carried his legacy with the Pioneer Fire Company, currently serving as the station Captain.
