Jenkintown 4th of July Parade

The Jenkintown Volunteer Fire Department is once again proud to sponsor the Borough’s Annual 4th of July Celebration. This year’s parade will be on Saturday, July 4th, at 9:30 A.M. with a rain date of Sunday, July 5th, at 9:30 A.M.

The Celebration will once again feature a Parade of our local fire trucks, Color Guard, bands and decorated bikes for children. In addition, various community service groups including The Boy/Girl Scouts and J.Y.A. will also be in attendance.

Being a safety-oriented organization, we would ask that any child riding a bike through the parade route that is under the age of 12 wear a bike helmet. At the conclusion of the parade, we will award prizes in the Town Square for the Best Decorated Bikes. This year’s awards will be divided into three (3) categories, Strollers & Wagons, Tricycles and Bikes.

This year’s Parade Route will begin on Leedom Street and Greenwood Avenue. It will proceed North on Leedom Street to Hillside Avenue, West on Hillside Avenue to Walnut Street, South on Walnut Street to West Avenue and commence at the Town Square on Leedom Street.

We will be serving hot dogs and cold beverages at the Pioneer Fire Company at the conclusion of the parade.
