| The month of March was the busiest month thus far in 2026 with our members responding to 44 calls for service. This included 28 incidents in Jenkintown as well as 16 mutual aid incidents where our members were called to provide support to a neighboring municipality.
In addition to emergency response, our firefighting crew put in a good month of training and drill with about 14 hours of training conducted in the month. This included search & rescue, forcible entry, hose deployment & advancement, and our annual Hazardous Materials refresher.
We are always seeking new volunteers who are eager to serve their community in the roles of firefighter as well as our dedicated fire police unit. Interested individuals can stop by the station on any Thursday night or the first or third Monday night of the month after 6:30 PM. |
