The Pioneer Fire Company is proud to announce that our new line officers have officially begun their new roles. In December, the company held elections for these positions for the next two year term. This is the first time in company history where the full complement of officers was elected by the active crew- as previously the station Chief was elected who then appointed their junior officers.

This line consists of:

Battalion Chief (BC99): Mike Furlong Jr.
Captain (CT99): Josh Everetts
Lieutenant (LT99): Liam Casey
Assistant Engineer (ER99): Mike Kolenkiewicz

The company offers our sincerest thanks to outgoing Battalion Chief Joe Connolly after serving as a Chief Officer for over 30 years. Serving as Assistant Chief, Deputy Chief, Chief, and then the first Battalion Chief after our operational consolidation. He will continue to serve both department operations as a knowledgeable veteran firefighter and driver-operator as well as the company administration, where he serves as a Trustee.

We also wish to thank outgoing Assistant Engineer Gary Bachman after serving in his role for the past six years. After two stints as the Chief, totaling 37 years, Gary stepped into the role as our primary driver-operator. Gary will continue to serve department operations as the primary engine driver-operator as well as the company administration, where he serves as the company President.
