2022 Year End Report

As the 2022 year comes to a close. The Pioneer Fire Company would like to report that the Jenkintown Fire Department as a whole responded to 292 calls for service in the calendar year, of which Pioneer responded to 224 incidents specifically. These incidents include but are not limited to 20 gas leaks, 1 woods fire, 1 standby at a vehicle accident, 1 vehicle rescue, 4 carbon monoxide leaks, 2 car fires, 1 hazardous materials incident, 3 elevator rescues, and 23 reported building fires.

The Pioneer Fire Company responded to 28 calls for service with our mutual aid partners in surrounding districts.

Total time in service during these calls for service totaled nearly 50 hours, with over 1,500 total responses by our individual members!

Two members received injuries related to fire department functions requiring medical evaluation or hospitalization. Both members are back to full-duty!

Lastly, the Pioneer Fire Company would like to thank our mutual aid partners in Abington Township, Cheltenham Township, Rockledge, and Lower Moreland Township for their mutual aid responses into Jenkintown.
