The Pioneer Fire Company regrets to report that life member Jim Gourley passed away on December 26, 2022. Jim was an original junior member of the Pioneer Fire Company, joining in 1961 at the age of 13 while a student in the Jenkintown School District. Jim was a devoted member of the company for 61 years. Jim was an active member of the firefighting crew for many years including as the company safety officer and then as the company business secretary. Jim is remembered by the members of the Pioneer Fire Company as calm and cool under pressure and for his long time commitment to the company.
